Our Philosophy

Testimonials

"Life Works has been a truly magical experience which will stay with me forever. I can find no fault in the place, its staff, food and program." Jo, Alcoholic

Addiction is a progressive and incurable disease, yet with the right help and support it can be halted. If we change our destructive behavioural patterns and use the tools and resources made available to us, then recovery will be more than just a liberation from our addiction; it will pave the way to a life beyond our wildest dreams. The staff at Life Works embodies this, with years of their own personal recovery behind them.

At Life Works, we employ highly trained and experienced staff to deliver state of the art science-based best practices in a caring and compassionate environment. Many recovering individuals suffer from a combination of addiction, mental health problems and unresolved traumatic stress from either child abuse or adult traumas. For this reason, we focus on a seamless integration of the most recent therapies directed at trauma resolution with the science-based best practices of addiction and mental health recovery.

The key to our philosophy is that each individual is unique and requires specific help and support at different stages of their recovery.

The Life Works individual-specific treatment plan is designed to assist you at all stages of your recovery. Recovery is a life long journey and Life Works is more than a one-off resource, rather an ongoing source of assistance and guidance for you at any stage of this process.
