Do I need Relapse treatment, or help with my Relapse Prevention?

I think I need help with Relapse Prevention, how can Life Works help me?

During the addiction treatment process, many addicts find themselves relapsing at one point or another. Relapse is a common part of the recovery process, but sadly it is often not discussed openly. Relapse prevention is not always possible, however, so it is imperative that you learn how to cope with this problem. The worst thing that you can do is to pretend that the relapse never occurred; rather, you should openly discuss your feelings with a qualified support network. There are many treatment processes available for dealing with a relapse, from private rehab to twelve-step programs, no matter what your particular addiction or behavioural health disorder happens to be. The important thing to realize is that a relapse, if responded to promptly and effectively, can be an important step in learning how to build a long-lasting, healthy recovery. Though not always easy, treatment for addiction or behavioural health disorder is an important and effective method of relapse prevention. If you would like to learn more about relapse treatment you can call Life Works at 0800 081 0700 or fill out our contact form.

How can I start Relapse treatment at Life Works and develop my Relapse Prevention skills?

If an individual does relapse, the best thing to do is to contact an addiction treatment centre quickly. These centers help individuals come to terms with their relapses, and set up an effective relaps prevention plan to help stop future relapses from happening. Though there are many addiction treatment centers, the process for setting up a relapse prevention plan is usually similar. First, an individual will call the center to speak to one of the counselors. During this conversation, the individual will discuss the relapse and the treatments available. Next, the individual will meet the facility’s nursing staff, who will complete an assessment wherein the individual’s primary medical and psychiatric issues will be determined. This may include a dual diagnosis, which is when the individual is diagnosed with more than one psychiatric or medical issue. Finally, a primary counselor will be assigned to help the individual throughout his or her stay in the facility. It all starts with a call to Life Works at, 0800 081 0700 or by filling out our contact form.
