Life Works would like to invite you to attend this highly educational and useful workshop that will give you the tools to manage anger while in recovery.
The inability to deal with anger is one of the most frequent reasons why people relapse after a period of sobriety. Often this emotion may build up over a period of time until it reaches a point where the individual no longer has the ability to contain it. At this point they are unable to think rationally, and this puts them at real risk of a return to active addiction.
By attending this interactive workshop you will better understand the definition, causes, types and triggers for anger. You will learn practical techniques to manage anger more effectively, including techniques such as mindfulness meditation. Looking at the real causes of anger is important for everybody, specifically those who regularly find themselves struggling to manage this emotion.
This lecture will be lead by Mike Fisher. Mike is Founder of the British Association of Anger Management (BAAM), which provides support for anger sufferers around the globe. He is a trained counsellor, facilitator, anger management consultant and he is the author of Beating Anger, which has sold over 65,000 copies.
