Due to the long term physical effects of alcoholism, we incorporate a comprehensive medical component in our alcohol addiction rehabilitation program. For those individuals who find themselves physically addicted to alcohol we offer a tailored 10 day medically assisted alcohol detox program.

An addiction to alcohol is as much environmental as it is physical. Love Addiction

Life Works leads the way in providing advanced treatment for love addiction. Our approach has earned Life Works an enviable reputation for helping those struggling with love addiction. A person battling a love addiction can become so obsessed by a lover that the relationship becomes the centre of their universe and their main or only source of happiness. Often love addicts do not have “a walk away point” beyond which a partner’s mistreatment of them will result in a decision to end the relationship no matter how much they may love that partner.

Our program looks at the behaviours and fantasies underlying relationships but also examines and addresses the underlying psychological factors that influence these behaviours. .As a result of this our love addiction program enables individuals to take their first steps on the road to love addiction recovery and lead more fulfilling lives.

Sex Addiction

Sex Addiction is the term used to describe the behaviour of a person who has an unhealthy obsession with sex. The obsession centres around sex and thoughts about sexual acts and can dominate the person’s thinking to the point that engaging in meaningful relationships and the performance of daily tasks is greatly compromised.

At Life Works we understand the potential shame that is attached to this illness and the resulting denial of magnitude of the problem. Admitting to having a problem is therefore the first and vital step towards Sex Addiction recovery. At Life Works discretion is a top priority, set in the Surrey countryside our residential private rehab offers the optimum opportunity for sex addiction recovery to take place. By exploring and removing some of the triggers that can feed the addictive behaviour, the addiction treatment program aims to ensure relapse prevention and restore a renewed sense of well-being.

Codependency

Codependency is a progressive emotional illness and a serious behavioural health issue. Codependency can manifest in any relationship: partnerships, family, friendships or in the work environment. The sufferer will have a preoccupation with other people’s needs, constantly putting them over their own which inevitably has a significant impact on the quality of their life. Life Works are highly experienced in treating codependency at our private rehab centre in Surrey.

Our holistic treatment programme is ideally suited to help sufferers come to terms and address the underlying behavioural causes of their codependency. Due to the behaviour surrounding codependency, sufferers often find themselves in abusive and potentially very dangerous relationships; if codependency is left untreated it may lead to emotional or physical injury. Life Works take codependecy very seriously. We offer the best private rehab for codependency, addressing the self-neglect and the damaging behaviours.

Gambling Addiction Treatment

Life Works leads the way in providing advanced, evidence-based gambling addiction treatment for individuals suffering from gambling addiction. Gambling can become an addiction very quickly and easily, and many gambling addicts find themselves betting more and more frequently using increasing stakes until it has escalated out of control and they feel there is no way out.

Our experience has shown us that when a gambling addict tries to give up gambling, feelings of shame, guilt, anger, anxiety and depression emerge. Through our effective program we look at the behaviours around gambling but importantly, we will also examine and address the underlying psychological factors that influence these behaviours. Gambling addiction is not just about gambling – it is a life-threatening, psychiatric illness that is much more serious than just the compulsive gambling behaviours it produces and as such we have developed an effective bespoke gambling addiction treatment program.
