Drug Detox

Given our status as a top addiction treatment clinic, we can appreciate that detoxification is simply the start of your journey towards good health. That’s why we offer secure and supportive detoxification specific to the unique requirements of the individual.

Our highly-qualified medical staff supply 24-hour care to make sure you are supported and as relieved of symptoms as possible throughout your detox.

Facilities

Reassuringly, our dedicated 24-hour nursing team are on-hand, their facilities located right beside the detox room. Any additional assistance you may require, meanwhile, is made available upon request.

Providing detox accommodation that is relaxing, commodious and well-ventilated, our rooms also come with en-suite bathroom facilities for your convenience.

What you can anticipate:

Medical

Upon arrival you will be subject to a comprehensive medical assessment, as well as a detoxification plan tailored just for you.

Personalized to your needs, this plan focuses on:

  • The amount you have been drinking
  • An in-depth appraisal of physical functioning
  • Seriousness of withdrawal symptoms

Of course, each of us experience detox in a unique way. Regardless of whether you have completed a plan before, each new detox is entirely new. You should be aware that the more regularly you detox and drink, the worse the symptoms can be.

Upon the plan’s implementation, you will be supervised closely and your progress reviewed. In fact, you will be assessed throughout each day to guarantee your comfort and wellbeing.

Depending on the severity of withdrawal, the use of medication will counteract the worst of your symptoms. Many participants attest to becoming tired in the initial stages of detox, an occurrence prompted not only by medication but the restoration of your wellbeing after dependent periods of drinking, and thus sleep deprivation. It is during this restorative period that you reacquire your strength.

Nursing

Employing a team of specialist nurses who are experienced in detox, we aim to provide you with the best service possible. Placing a particular emphasis on peacefulness and safety, we appreciate that the value of supportive care is equal to medication throughout detox. That’s why competent nurses are on-hand at any hour of the clock - morning, noon and night. Not only will they make you feel comfortable, but they will carry out regular checks to ensure your physical needs are taken care of. Got a question or request? Our staff like to help.

Nutrition

We will cater for you, with meticulously-devised and nutritious meals during your length of recovery. Initially, when the detox commences, you will be serviced in your room, your meals provided there; when you are physically able, meanwhile, we will advise you to fraternize with our community in our spacious dining room.

Psychiatry

After your admission, and when convenient, we will introduce you to our Consultant Psychiatrist, who will administer a comprehensive psychiatric assessment.

Therapy

After you have been admitted, you will be introduced to your primary therapist. Subsequently your full clinical assessment will resume, a procedure carried out to establish your personal history, experience of substance misuse and all other requisite psychological factors. Our friendly therapist will then consult with you before fashioning a personalized Treatment Plan, focus on your path to recovery, the objective being - of course - successful sobriety.

Group Therapy

When you are physically ready, you will be encouraged and galvanized to take part in Group Therapy. Group Therapy will allow you to consider the function drugs serve in your life, and evaluate alternative methods to deal with life’s peaks and troughs. Positive and creative outlets such as Art and Drama Therapy will also give you an opportunity to further express yourself when you begin to feel stronger.

Psycho-Education

Taking part in a multitude of psycho-education workshops centred on improving your knowledge of drugs and drug dependence, you will gain a greater perspective of your recovery. As your knowledge improves, the steep path to sobriety inevitably becomes more manageable.

Assignment Work

We will always admit that detox is merely the initial step toward recovery. As such, we recognize that for a person to achieve sobriety over the long haul, they require assistance and structure. Consequently, our 12 Step Fellowships offer this framework in every city in the world. We will offer you with an introduction to 12 Step Recovery, and how it could change your life.

Relapse Prevention

Upon conversing with your therapist, you will help devise a Relapse Prevention Plan that takes into account every facet of your life - family, social network, employment. Particularly ‘dangerous’ or risky situations will be highlighted, together with techniques you can deploy to better handle these situations.

Thorough plans will be devised as to your subsequent steps – whether they include additional in-patient treatment, personalized psychotherapy and/or attending fellowship meetings.

Result

Upon the conclusion of your detox, you will be removed from medication. Both drug- and drug-free, you will be reenergized and better able to consider your future. Healthier and with a clear mind, you will accordingly be equipped to focus on your recovery - and ultimately achieve sobriety.
